The Senior Business Consultant role is an active role that is customer focused and presents challenges. The position requires a combination of strategic and practical experience, good at seeing the big picture and have deep technology skills and experience in digital and Business transformation. The role focus is on Business Process Management, Shared Services Center assement, design and implementation. We are looking for people with the technical, consulting and commercial skills to help our clients be more successful and face the digital transformation transforming / re-imaging their business processes and enable them in SAP solutions. From Business architects with deep digital skills to analysts capable of untangling complex processes, shared services transformation, operating and cost models.


  • Leading the Digital transformation of our customers through design and implementation on new operational models or Shared services centers (SSC) with focus in

  • Support the client in the evaluation of benefits and costs of creating the SSC. Analyze and define the scope of the processes, the delivery model, a business case and define a roadmap in detail for the customer transformation of Shared Services.

  • Define the shared services operational model (Business processes and SAP capabilities), the delivery and services model, the vision and strategy, Governance models, guiding principles, best practices and methods, Organizational and workforce

  • Leading the technology strategy and architecture elements of our digital transformation sales and delivery activities with focus in Business Process Advisory

  • Developing and enhancing our methods and accelerators, including Business Processes maturity models, reference architectures, frameworks and tools

  • Working with diverse teams and capabilities, from digital business services organization, to create innovative solutions for our clients

  • Management of one or more client engagements, with responsibility for quality of delivery as well as engagement quality

  • Developing long term trusted advisor relationships with our clients

  • Building and leading high performing teams

  • Identifying and leading pursuit of opportunities for new business

To be successful in these roles, you will be required to demonstrate the following:


  • Act as a Coach and role model for more junior colleagues

  • Ability to manage and work within large, complex cross functional projects, whilst leading smaller and more focused projects

  • Ability to engage with and manage multiple stakeholder communities with varying levels of experience, up to and including the C suite

  • Leads customer executives (indirect leadership) during project execution as well as in Sales cycles (consultative selling)

  • A leader in thought and action with a passion for digital transformation

  • Ambition to build / develop a career in SA and our Business transformation Services Team

  • Ability to successfully deliver multiple engagements, exceed client expectations, manage commercial aspects (e.g. contracts, billing and budgets), and manage quality and risk

Advisory / Delivery

  • A strong track record in the delivery of transformational of Business processes Advisory

  • Working in a consulting or service provision environment (including internal consulting or advisory roles)

  • Leading mixed teams of all sized in the delivery of strategic projects

  • Working with and presentation to clients at all levels up to and including CxO

  • Contributes on various sales bids, including RFPs and demand generation

  • Independent execution of complex projects or programs/deliverables

  • Different areas of roles involved

  • Demonstrating active leadership

  • Working in consulting environment, with knowledge of the key processes and culture of a consulting firm

  • Experience of the full lifecycle from concept through to implementation


  • Leading the production of significant proposal content and deliverables

  • Drive business development in the area of knowledge

  • Support sales in the evaluation process

  • Support sales pursuits and proposals

  • Sell and manage projects in the consultant’s area of expertise

8 - 10 years consulting experience

Specialized Expertise:

  • Expert in Shared Services center models and transformations

  • Experience of digital transformation and technologies

  • Expert in at least one industry (Business Expert)

  • Expert in at least one Line of business

  • Knowledge of current technologies, technology trends and their applicability for the new IT operational models

Managerial Expertise:

  • Functional coordination of large teams (internal, external, virtual)

  • Act as a coach for colleagues, partners & customers

  • Lead teams

SAP Product Knowledge

Knowledge of:

  • SAP Solution manager

  • SAP Product Portfolio (on premise and cloud solutions, S/4HANA) / SAP standard solution and service offerings

  • SAP Next Generation solutions and services (e.g. S/4HANA, Fiori (Mobility, UX), Cloud)

  • SAP Product Roadmap (in related industry area)

Methodologies & Standards

  • Where applicable, project management methodologies and standards (PMI/PMBOK, PRINCE2 etc.)

  • Where applicable Shared Services frameworks

  • Where applicable Business Process Management Methodologies
