Scope: Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile
Recruit, develop, enhance and manage the regional spine sales organization, including distributors and sales agents.
Define and implement market-specific requirements/programs for sales training, product introductions, market expansions, and commercial strategies.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant Key opinion leaders and organizations in the region.
Accelerate regional revenue and market penetration of NuVasive products. Achieve assigned sales quota. Maintain expenses and meet operating margin targets. Develop the regional spine sales forecast/expense budget as part of the business plan as well as sets and product forecasts. Responsible for the development and planning of the regional sales organization and its activities, including establishing quotas by country and by individual distributor/agent/representative, defining A/R objectives and managing payments. Establish a regional Key Accounts program.
Acquire in-depth clinical competency skills with all NuVasive products to assure role of leadership, surgical case coverage when needed and providing the highest degree of value to regional sales team at all times.
Acquires in-depth knowledge of the local markets feeding Business and Strategic Planning with appropriate market intelligence.
Partner with Clinical Professional Development on the training of Spine Surgeons, management of clinical education programs, and ensuring proper training protocols are followed.
Partner with Sales Training to ensure proper education of distributors and sales agents on NuVasive procedures.
Manages, drives and develops the setup and implementation of new go-to-market models in countries/regions and works with Legal, Regulatory and Finance for effective implementation.
Provide regular weekly and timely feedback to the Managing Director LATAM on a variety of topics including sales performance, market feedback, new target accounts, ideas regarding sales growth, sales management and distributor sales rep evaluations, and new product development opportunities.
Provide formal communication of customer needs to the Managing Director LATAM for the purpose of improving existing product and developing new products.
Implement successful surgeon training courses as new technology is introduced.
Perform selling functions independently with distribution sales management and/or sales representatives and agents in order to meet sales forecast. These functions include: introducing the product to new customers, coordinating product evaluations, providing technical support, and creating financial proposals for hospitals.
Provide distributors with appropriate information on new product developments, new competitive products and selling strategies, and current applicable medical literature.
Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485. Acceptable knowledge of FCPA and HCC regulations.
In-depth experience and proven successful track record in setting up and managing (channel) sales in appointed region.
Strong background and affinity in/with the medical devices (preferably spine) business.
Previous experience working within cross-functional teams with acceptable understanding of the Regulatory and local Legal environment.
High level of people leadership, project management and communication skills.
Relation- and network builder, Entrepreneurial; Strategic insight; Implementer & Builder.
Perfect domain of Spanish and English.
