JOB BACKGROUND / BUSINESS CONTEXT
The Asset Desk Officer must be focused on maintaining and increasing Trade Finance, Trade Services and LPM assets portfolio. Focus will be on the growth of asset level as well as the improvement of spreads/fees of the portfolio assigned. In addition is relevant the tracking of market trends to anticipate issues and needs.
The Asset Desk Officer will have full responsibilities over more than USD$1.3Bn of Assets (Direct and contingent assets).
Perform proactive calls with current clients to encourage them to renew loans or extend maturity dates of Trade products and originate new opportunities with existing clients.
Coordinate offering of existing and new products, marketing strategies and action plans to increase Trade Finance, Trade Services and LPM assets and revenue and meet financial goals.
Assure product offering and processing under global, regional and local policies (i.e. RAAC, GDR, PAP Guidelines, ICG Risk manual, X-Border Policy, etc.).
Primary responsible for the Client Desk portfolio, working in close coordination and partnership with Client Desk RMs to increase asset portfolio;
Measure and grow market share. Determine benchmarks against our competitors (product offerings, pricing, etc.) and take actions presenting alternatives/solutions to be at pair or ahead in the financial market competitors.
Assist local sales teams and business partners with clients.
Interact frequently with cluster Trade teams to understand market trends, pipeline and close deals
Interact with other regions and global units to share best practices.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the risk characteristics of the portfolio.
Maintain and track all information related to Trade Finance and LPM Loans.
Highly motivated and experienced person to drive the assets and revenues of Trade Finance, Trade Services and LPM products.
The individual should have a sales and project management background preferably within TTS
Customer focused and able to operate at all levels
Knowledge of the markets & Citi culture as well as the relevant Trade products
3 years business experience preferably in Trade
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact internally and with clients
Recognized for his or her execution skills
Presentation skills both written and oral
Ability to manage in a matrix environment
University Degree, MBA preferred
Knowledge of TTS Trade organization and products
Language: English & Spanish.
