Job summary

Be responsible for the overall sales strategies and results of a major geographic or continental area, region, or country. The Red Hat Global Learning Services team is looking for a Sales Manager to join us in Bogota, Colombia. In this role, you will manage training sales for Latin America (LATAM). You’ll plan and direct all sales activities, including planning and implementing forecasts, developing policies, and the staffing and training of the sales force. As a Sales Manager, you may also have responsibility for the presales function. You’ll establish short and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Manage sales of training services

  • Be responsible for developing strategies to grow the LATAM Sales team’s results and mix of offerings by developing new accounts or expanding existing accounts within an established strategic and commercial geographic territory

  • Manage individual contributor sales business development managers and training sales specialists that carry their own sales quotas

Required skills

  • 5-8 years of direct experience in training sales with a record of success

  • Background in the software industry

  • Record of excellence in managing forecasts and achieving targets in a matrixed environment

  • Team management and leadership skills

  • Business-oriented; seen as an expert in the training sales field

  • Regional experience in diverse, multicultural environments

  • Fluent language skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
